国际 事件 and Programs

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) are internship and employment opportunities for international students, though the application process can be confusing. We host regular training sessions to provide easy-to-follow guidelines for these programs as well as answer student questions. CPT and OPT handouts are available 在这里.

这里的食物 & Culture series provides all TU faculty, 工作人员, and students the opportunity to learn about the interconnection between 文化 and cuisine. Each lecture focuses on a specific region or country, and immediately following the presentation, attendees are welcome to eat in Cole Dining Hall for a lunch that highlights the particular region or country that was discussed. Students who attend the lecture receive personal development co-curricular credit.

每年春天, the World Student Association hosts the 国际晚餐 to celebrate the food, 文化, and traditions of our diverse international student body. The dinner features a menu of recipes submitted by students and music and dance performances by students as well.

The annual 国际 Flag Ceremony is sponsored by the World Student Association and always well attended. This event welcomes our new international students to campus and honors those returning. Students from countries that are new to TU also have their countries’ flags inducted into the international flag corridor in Gillmor Student Center. The ceremony is held yearly during the U.S. 国务院的 国际 Education Week in November.

Each fall and spring when new students arrive, it is important to orient them not only to Tiffin University, but to the community of Tiffin as a whole. We spend 2-3 days each semester to ensure that students receive all of the necessary information and support to make their stay in the U.S. as academically and personally satisfying as possible.
